Dr. Mark DeVine is currently Associate Professor of Christian Theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminaryand Bi-vocational Pastor of First Calvary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He returned to Midwestern after serving with the International Mission Board in Bangkok, Thailand since 1998. He taught theology from 1994 to 1998. DeVine received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University, and both the M.Div. and Ph.D. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. A popular interim pastor with Missouri congregations, DeVine pastored First Baptist Church, Crothersville, Indiana; Sycamore Baptist Church in Charleston, South Carolina; and Black Lick Baptist Church in Glendean, Ky. DeVine, author of “Bonhoeffer Speaks Today: Following Jesus at All Costs” (Nashville: Broadman & Holman, 2005) has written extensively for theological journals and contributed to the Disciple’s Study Bible.

    Jimmy Burrell? Are you kidding me? What has it been? 30 YEARS? WOW.

    Somehow you have accessed and old version of my website. If you go directly to theologyprof.com you will reach a current version but you will not find your comment.

    Do you remember saying this is where you kick it” when we would be in my car and therefore you didn’t mind if I got a speeding ticket? I use that all the time with my colleagues and when your email came I made them read and then told that you were the origianl author of that tactic.
