Glad you are back. Your wise insight into such matters is needed on a regular basis.
I appreciate your work in that chapter. One thing I was surprised about was the lack of mention of Dan Kimball and Andrew “Tall Skinny Kiwi” Jones (other than a footnote reference).
As you mentioned, Dan (and Andrew Jones in my opinion) are attempting to keep feet in both streams- but have feet firmly planted in the evangelical/emerging stream. That makes them key figures in this discussion. Other than Scot McKnight (and McManus in a more quiet way), they are on the front line of that tension.
Their comments, positions, and actions have a large bearing on that tension, and the direction and participation in those streams.

I do agree that the “bridging” figures such as Kimball and skinny kiwi are interesting in unique ways and deserve special attention.
